This weeks park run was possibly the most satisfying to date. It had Everything! The girls continued to dominate proceedings as Holly Page became the third of our girls to win in four weeks in a time of 19.55. Tori Wells was fourth in 22.05 and Alex Slotwinski came 7th in 23.16. The men did not disappoint either! Big Martin Proctor had a scintilating Park Run debut to finish 2nd in 16.43. Fresher Rob Torch also made the top five by finishing fourth in 18.02. Hot on Rob's heels was Cross Country captain Rory Johnson. It was Rory's first race in a long time due to long term knee issues so 18.15 and 6th place is certainly promising! In his post race interview he said "18.15 is good for now but i have my eyes on Mike grimes' course record nex time." Other finishers in the men's race were Robin Linten (18.37), Ollie Cook (18.44) and Nick Butler (20.53. Well done to everyone who took part!

DUAXC continued dominating the Durham park run with victories for Lucy Reid and Jack HIllier. This week's park run saw some slight alterations to the course due to the ongoing work at Maiden Castle. This however proved no obstacle for Jack as he stormed to victory in a time of 17.21 (surely the course was longer than 5k??????). However, undoubtably the highlight of Jack's day was bumping into Nobby Solano during his warm down. Lucy Reid made it a clean sweep for DUAXC by winning the women's race in 19.16. Lucy was followed by Holly Page (19.56) and Ellie Wilson (20.09) to make it a 1,2,3! Excellent results like this bodes well for BUCS! Other finishers were; Robin LInten (19.45), Ollie Cook (19.57), Yasha Chechik (20.20), Nick Butler (21.02), Rebecca Farrell (21.13) and Elizabeth Fletcher (24.36).
