HELLO TO ALL NEW FRESHERS!

Congratulations on getting a place at Durham University!!!

Below you can find a list of unique fresher events that we're running in the first few weeks of term to help you get involved with one of the biggest and friendliest clubs in Durham!

October 3rd and 4th: Come and find our stall at the freshers fair

Friday October 5th: 'Ice Breaker' in the Slug and Lettuce. Join the exec and current members for a casual drink and ask us any questions you might have

Tuesday 9th October: Come along to a specially arranged 'taster' training session

Wednesday 10th October: Come and find out why our super socials have such a reputation at the full kit bar crawl (think neon, athletics vests and an over abundance of lycra....)

Saturday 27th October: Put on Durham colours for the first time and compete in our very own inter-uni cross country fixture, with free entry for all new members!

Just a quick mention that one of DUAXC's top new members this year, Patrick Vis is taking part in the 'India on 2 Wheels' Duck Expedition this summer. This involves 16 days cycling around the Indian Himalayas to raise money for ChildReach international. and the below link shows more information and how to donate for what is obviously a very worth cause!

Adding to that, another club member: Clive Knipe  is also involved in  a Duck expedition this summer climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of the 'Save. the Children' charity.
