DUAXC had several runners at the third harrier league fixture of the season in Blaydon. Martin Proctor, donning the orange of Durham City Harriers for the first time continued his rich vain of form, finishing 2nd in 29.39. Other club finishers were Dan Jenkin 30.36, Ollie Cook 33.42 and Gareth Maguire 36.10.

Meanwhile 3 athletes made the trip to Liverpool for the Cross Challenge event, from which the GB team for this months European Championships was selected. Not surprising then that big names like Hattie Dean and Andy Vernon turned out.!! We had Jen Walsh and Mike grimes competing in the Junior event. Unfortunately both pulled up injured whilst in contention for a G.B. vest! Patrick Vis despite being a junior competed in the Senior race, competing for Southport Waterloo in the Midlancs League. He finished in 117th out of the 500+ competitors, so was pleased, even if his twin beat him by 4 seconds.!
